Moments, places and situations that are seemingly too small or unimportant to be noticed, are captured by Geeske Janßen in photography, video and interviews. Through details and strong cut-outs, the most diverse realities reveal themselves in intimate and abstract ways. An interest in the inaccessible and at the same time everyday with a gaze that looks at things in their normality and dissects them into individual parts.
The artistic work of Geeske Janßen opens new perspectives on own and foreign realities.
She studied at the HGB Leipzig, HBK Braunschweig and the UPV Valencia.
